About Us
Venue & Aesthetic
At Hestia Kitchen + Bar, our stage isn’t just a performance space—it’s an intimate, living-room-style setup designed to bring artists and audiences closer together. Inspired by the raw, unfiltered charm of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts, our stage features a cozy leather sofa, warm lighting, and an inviting backdrop of open shelving stocked with books, spirits, and personal touches.
This setting strips away the barriers between performer and audience, creating a unique, immersive experience where every note and lyric feels personal. Whether it’s a solo act or a collaborative performance, the vibe remains the same—authentic, up-close, and deeply engaging.
At Hestia, live music isn’t just background entertainment; it’s a shared moment between artist and listener, in a space that feels like home.

Our Values
- Back to the Essence of Music – By keeping performances raw and stripped-down, we remove distractions and unnecessary layers, allowing the artist’s voice, musicianship, and storytelling to take center stage. Like when songs are first created in a living room or a casual space, this setting brings the focus back to pure melody, raw emotion, and an intimate, direct connection between the performer and the audience.
- Respecting the Space – Our venue is designed with intention, separating the Live Zone from the Off Zone to create the best experience for both artists and audiences. The Live Zone is all about immersion—where music is truly heard and felt. The Off Zone allows for conversation without disrupting the performance.
- Supporting Artists – We’re giving musicians a unique platform to perform in a setting that highlights their artistry. This isn’t just another gig—it’s a chance for artists to share their craft in its purest form, with an audience that truly listens.
- Creating a New Culture of Live Music in Vancouver – We’re building something different. A place where live music is more than just background noise. A place where audiences engage, artists shine, and performances become unforgettable experiences.
