About the event

About Badwater Basin:
Duncan and Tristan formed Badwater Basin after becoming good friends at Selkirk College in Nelson BC. The two are working to execute a shared vision of psychedelic cowboys, grizzled prospectors and runaway steam engines. Inspired by Canadian and American legends such as the Tragically Hip, Lynyrd Skynrd and the Grateful Dead, Badwater Basin aims to take you from the deserts of Southern Californiaall the way to the dense forests of BC mountains. This set will be the proud debut of a brand-new song about the Crowsnest Highway that runs from Hope, BC to Medicine Hat, AB.
Arrangement of the Session:
Guitar & Vocals - Duncan Shury
Guitar & Vocals - Tristan Shears
Drums - Ethan Honeywell
Bass - Aden Goertzen
About The Shelf Concert:
Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, we bring raw, stripped-down performances to Vancouver. No blasting speakers, no artificial mixing—just pure, direct sound. Artists self-mix in the moment, adjusting to the space and energy of the room. And since each concert is recorded live, the audience isn’t just watching—they’re part of the final cut. Every cheer, clap, and moment of silence is captured forever.
Your ticket includes:
✔️ Exclusive access to the Live Zone – The only place to fully experience the show in the venue.
✔️ A drink + a snack – Curated by HESTIA.
✔️ A role in the recording – Your energy, your reactions, your moment.
How It Works
• The concert is structured into multiple sets (3 minimum) of three songs, with short 10-minute breaks in between.
• Natural emotional reactions (clapping, cheering, vibing, etc.) are encouraged!
• During performances, we ask for minimal disruptive noise—think of it like being in a live recording session. And it is!
• Breaks are off the record—the perfect time to chat, grab another drink, or order more food.
• Artists may extend their set if the vibe is right. Show your love, and you might just get an encore!
Limited to 40 spots. Every session is unique. Get your ticket now—before someone else does.
