About the event

About Cherrykim:
Cherrykim is a Montreal-based singer, songwriter, and producer blending retro soul, neo-soul, and modern R&B into a sound that feels both nostalgic and new. Born in South Korea and raised between Texas and British Columbia, his music is shaped by a mix of cultures, places, and life experiences—each song a reflection of where he’s been and what he’s felt.
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Cherrykim plays guitar, bass, piano, and drums, crafting his songs from the ground up. His sound draws inspiration from 70s soul, the smooth grooves of D’Angelo, and the raw, heartfelt energy of bands like Thee Sacred Souls. At the core, his music is about connection—stories of love, longing, healing, and growth.
Arrangement of the Session:
Rhythm Guitar & Vocal - Cherrykim

About The Shelf Concert:
Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, we bring raw, stripped-down performances to Vancouver. No blasting speakers, no artificial mixing—just pure, direct sound. Artists self-mix in the moment, adjusting to the space and energy of the room. And since each concert is recorded live, the audience isn’t just watching—they’re part of the final cut. Every cheer, clap, and moment of silence is captured forever.
Your ticket includes:
✔️ Exclusive access to the Live Zone – The only place to fully experience the show in the venue.
✔️ A drink + a snack – Curated by HESTIA.
✔️ A role in the recording – Your energy, your reactions, your moment.
How It Works
• The concert is structured into multiple sets (3 minimum) of three songs, with short 10-minute breaks in between.
• Natural emotional reactions (clapping, cheering, vibing, etc.) are encouraged!
• During performances, we ask for minimal disruptive noise—think of it like being in a live recording session. And it is!
• Breaks are off the record—the perfect time to chat, grab another drink, or order more food.
• Artists may extend their set if the vibe is right. Show your love, and you might just get an encore!
Limited to 40 spots. Every session is unique. Get your ticket now—before someone else does.
