About the event

About Dumpster Dave:
Dumpster Dave is an alt-country singer-songwriter and full-time garbage man with a knack for turning everyday working-class life into music. Drawing inspiration from heartaches, hangovers, truck frames, dim headlights, and life's bigger questions, Dave tells stories of the ordinary, the messy, and everything in between.
Backed by Dumpster Dave Hauling Co., his band delivers efficient riffs, timely rhythms, and welcoming melodies with a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour. From tales of trash to memoirs of the messed up, Dave's songwriting explores the struggles, absurdities, and self-conscious moments of everyday life — all under the band's promise of “satisfaction guaranteed or double your garbage back.”
For his Shelf session, Dumpster Dave brings his working-class storytelling and alt-country sound into an intimate listening room, joined by his four-piece band. Expect songs about life, love, and the occasional hangover — delivered with plenty of personality.
Arrangement of the Session:
David Lalonde — Vocals / Rhythm Guitar
Jordan Lineker — Vocals / Lead Guitar
James Daniel Baxter — Vocals / Bass / Keyboard / Harmonica
Kalan Mutter — Drums
About The Shelf Concert:
Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, we bring raw, stripped-down performances to Vancouver — but with our own after-hours twist. On Wednesday nights, Hestia closes its doors to the public and transforms into a private listening room for just 60 guests. No blasting speakers, no artificial mixing — just pure, direct sound. Artists self-mix in the moment, adjusting to the space and the energy of the room. And since each concert is recorded live, the audience isn’t just watching — they’re part of the final cut. Every cheer, clap, and moment of silence is captured by the microphones forever.
Your ticket includes:
✔️ Exclusive access to the session — An intimate, after-hours concert in the closed restaurant space at Hestia.
✔️ A late-night buffet — Curated by HESTIA to make the night feel even more special.
✔️ A role in the recording – Your energy, your reactions, your moment.
How It Works
The concert is structured into three short sets (three songs each), with two 5-minute breaks in between.
Natural emotional reactions (clapping, cheering, vibing, etc.) are encouraged!
During performances, we ask for minimal disruptive noise — think of it like being in a live recording session. Because it is!
Breaks are off the record — the perfect time to chat, enjoy the buffet, or grab another drink.
Some artists may extend their set or play an encore if the vibe feels right — show your love and you might just get more!
Limited to 60 spots. Every session is unique and will not appear again.
