About the event

About Dusknote:

Dusknote is a collection of musical elixirs, distilled by Canadian multi-instrumentalist Adam Parent. Raised by a folk/jazz singer-songwriter mother and a meticulous sound engineer father, Adam planted roots early on playing drums with his 2 brothers in critically acclaimed heavy-fusion juggernaut Ninjaspy. Relentless touring led inevitably to freelance work. He thrived on writing with artists of many different genres and doing session work with Juno and Grammy award winning producers.

After years of playing festival circuits and performing in over 30 countries as a freelance drummer, Adam is now setting his sights on a new landscape. Combining the delicate folk sensibilities ingrained in his youth, the emancipation of an undeniable pocket and the intoxication of psychedelic flavoring, Dusknote is a true melting pot of sound derived from unbridled musical exploration that is only just getting stirred.

Arrangement of the Session:

Adam Parent - Guitar/Vocals

Dan Ponich - Lead Guitar/Synth

Justin Trueman - Bass/Vocals

Connor Mead - Drums/Vocals

About The Shelf Concert:

Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, we bring raw, stripped-down performances to Vancouver — but with our own after-hours twist. On Wednesday nights, Hestia closes its doors to the public and transforms into a private listening room for just 60 guests. No blasting speakers, no artificial mixing — just pure, direct sound. Artists self-mix in the moment, adjusting to the space and the energy of the room. And since each concert is recorded live, the audience isn’t just watching — they’re part of the final cut. Every cheer, clap, and moment of silence is captured by the microphones forever.

Your ticket includes:

✔️ Exclusive access to the session — An intimate, after-hours concert in the closed restaurant space at Hestia.

✔️ A late-night buffet — Curated by HESTIA to make the night feel even more special.

✔️ A role in the recording – Your energy, your reactions, your moment.

How It Works

  • The concert is structured into three short sets (three songs each), with two 5-minute breaks in between.

  • Natural emotional reactions (clapping, cheering, vibing, etc.) are encouraged!

  • During performances, we ask for minimal disruptive noise — think of it like being in a live recording session. Because it is!

  • Breaks are off the record — the perfect time to chat, enjoy the buffet, or grab another drink.

  • Some artists may extend their set or play an encore if the vibe feels right — show your love and you might just get more!

Limited to 60 spots. Every session is unique and will not appear again.
