About the event

About Glen Casual:

Glen Casual is the indie pop project of Vancouver-based artist Connor Mead, built as a more personal creative outlet shaped by self-reflection and emotional change. After years of performing in collaborative projects, Connor began writing and self-producing under this name — creating music that feels honest, understated, and quietly immersive.

Blending laid-back grooves with reflective songwriting, Glen Casual’s sound carries a sense of ease on the surface, while revealing a deeper emotional weight over time. His songs don’t demand attention — they draw you in slowly, with intimate vocals and subtle, groove-driven arrangements that feel more like a conversation than a performance.

Beyond his solo work, Connor is an active presence in the local music scene, performing as drummer with St. Arnaud, Dusknote, and Coastal Shivers, and as guitarist and vocalist with Little Garden. His work is grounded in warmth, vulnerability, and a natural sense of feel — music that stays with you long after it ends.

For his Shelf session, Glen Casual brings that same understated energy into a room built for listening — where the quietest moments often carry the most weight.

Arrangement of the Session:

Connor Mead — Vocals / Guitar

JD Trueman — Bass / Vocals

Quenten Truhn — Guitar

Adam Parent — Drums

About The Shelf Concert:

Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, we bring raw, stripped-down performances to Vancouver — but with our own after-hours twist. On Wednesday nights, Hestia closes its doors to the public and transforms into a private listening room for just 60 guests. No blasting speakers, no artificial mixing — just pure, direct sound. Artists self-mix in the moment, adjusting to the space and the energy of the room. And since each concert is recorded live, the audience isn’t just watching — they’re part of the final cut. Every cheer, clap, and moment of silence is captured by the microphones forever.

Your ticket includes:

✔️ Exclusive access to the session — An intimate, after-hours concert in the closed restaurant space at Hestia.

✔️ A late-night buffet — Curated by HESTIA to make the night feel even more special.

✔️ A role in the recording – Your energy, your reactions, your moment.

How It Works

  • The concert is structured into three short sets (three songs each), with two 5-minute breaks in between.

  • Natural emotional reactions (clapping, cheering, vibing, etc.) are encouraged!

  • During performances, we ask for minimal disruptive noise — think of it like being in a live recording session. Because it is!

  • Breaks are off the record — the perfect time to chat, enjoy the buffet, or grab another drink.

  • Some artists may extend their set or play an encore if the vibe feels right — show your love and you might just get more!

Limited to 60 spots. Every session is unique and will not appear again.
