Nitroglycerin is an alternative progressive rock band that thrives on contrasts—melding the heavy with the melodic, the chaotic with the beautiful. Drawing inspiration from punk, metal, psychedelic rock, and beyond, they create music that sets an atmosphere both energetic and melancholic, both raw and cinematic.
Their shows are built around storytelling through composition itself: shifting structures, dynamic changes, and songs that carry emotion without needing explanation. At the core, Nitroglycerin is about pushing boundaries—taking the weight of heavy music and letting it breathe in expansive, unexpected ways.

Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, we bring raw, stripped-down performances to Vancouver. No blasting speakers, no artificial mixing—just pure, direct sound. Artists self-mix in the moment, adjusting to the space and energy of the room. And since each concert is recorded live, the audience isn’t just watching—they’re part of the final cut. Every cheer, clap, and moment of silence is captured forever.

How It Works
• The concert is structured into multiple sets (3 minimum) of three songs, with short 10-minute breaks in between.
• Natural emotional reactions (clapping, cheering, vibing, etc.) are encouraged!
• During performances, we ask for minimal disruptive noise—think of it like being in a live recording session. And it is!
• Breaks are off the record—the perfect time to chat, grab another drink, or order more food.
• Artists may extend their set if the vibe is right. Show your love, and you might just get an encore!
