About RIVERBUG:
RIVERBUG, originally a spawn of creativity between two lovers, has expanded and continues to improve with help from their close friends. Folk rock has always been their home, from the country twang to the steady punchy rhythms, and of course, the powerful female vocal presence that defines a big part of the genre. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Big Thief, Neil Young, and the countless talented people they surround themselves with, they continue to write incredible music. They are also integral to the local folk music scene, having played shows all over Vancouver and, with members of RIVERBUG playing in other local bands. Be sure to keep your eye out for new music coming from these folk, and go see them play!

Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, we bring raw, stripped-down performances to Vancouver. No blasting speakers, no artificial mixing—just pure, direct sound. Artists self-mix in the moment, adjusting to the space and energy of the room. And since each concert is recorded live, the audience isn’t just watching—they’re part of the final cut. Every cheer, clap, and moment of silence is captured forever.

How It Works
• The concert is structured into multiple sets (3 minimum) of three songs, with short 10-minute breaks in between.
• Natural emotional reactions (clapping, cheering, vibing, etc.) are encouraged!
• During performances, we ask for minimal disruptive noise—think of it like being in a live recording session. And it is!
• Breaks are off the record—the perfect time to chat, grab another drink, or order more food.
• Artists may extend their set if the vibe is right. Show your love, and you might just get an encore!
