About Twin Willow:

Canadian singer/songwriter Twin Willow (Dave Valade) is a multi-instrumentalist based in Vancouver, BC, who crafts songs inspired by his personal experiences with love, grief, and adventure. His music ranges from moments of joy, filled with soaring melodies and warmth, to deeper, more introspective tracks that carry the weight of heartache and raw emotion.

Twin Willow recently released the song 'Wildhorse', which is a heartfelt, indie folk anthem for anyone caught in a cycle they can't escape. Wildhorse explores the emotional struggle of feeling trapped in a relationship or habit and the yearning for change. Its motivating blend of acoustic folk and country is reminiscent of Coldplay's "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" era. Capturing the weight of feeling stuck, balanced with the hope needed to move forward, it serves as an introspective push to find the courage for a fresh start.

Over the course of 2023 and 2024, Twin Willow wrote and recorded his debut EP. The album features long time friend and collaborator Matthew Porteous on piano and Morgan Stedman on backing vocals. The EP was recorded at Park Sound Studios in North Vancouver by producer/sound engineer Dan Ponich.

Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, we bring raw, stripped-down performances to Vancouver. No blasting speakers, no artificial mixing—just pure, direct sound. Artists self-mix in the moment, adjusting to the space and energy of the room. And since each concert is recorded live, the audience isn’t just watching—they’re part of the final cut. Every cheer, clap, and moment of silence is captured forever.

How It Works

• The concert is structured into multiple sets (3 minimum) of three songs, with short 10-minute breaks in between.

• Natural emotional reactions (clapping, cheering, vibing, etc.) are encouraged!

• During performances, we ask for minimal disruptive noise—think of it like being in a live recording session. And it is!

• Breaks are off the record—the perfect time to chat, grab another drink, or order more food.

• Artists may extend their set if the vibe is right. Show your love, and you might just get an encore!
